PICKY ME – My family and I were shopping at store recently. I hadn’t warned her a head of time, but I was looking for a new shower curtain for the shower that I use in the house (we have two). After five minutes or so I had grabbed the beige vinyl shower curtain that would match the cloth curtain.
When my wife saw me with the shower curtain she said “We don’t need that – we have a brand new one at home you can use.” so I asked “What color is it?” She said blue. I immediately told her it wouldn’t match the decor of the bathroom. She exclaimed – boy aren’t you picky. And by the grace of God I quickly replied – good thing I am because maybe if I wasn’t I wouldn’t have ended up with you and would’ve settled for someone else.
Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil. All the days of her life.
This day, I praise God for a Proverbs 31 woman. And I say “Happy Birthday”.
